" 3+1 practical training model" is implemented in Technology of Information Security Programme
Profile of the Programme:
Information Security Technology Programme has an important role in eliminating the need for technology security professionals depending on developments in both the software and hardware in the world of ever increasing information The program aims, as well as basic computer knowledge, to gain new capabilities to the world of IT with information security solutions for all sectors to develop and operate computer systems in the field of technical support staff. The main objective of the program, each day in the field of information technology needs of the growing information security industry expertise on both theoretical and practical skills to work as programmers and technical support staff to train technicians. In addition, computer technologies, adapt to the rapidly developing society, with the required information gathering and processing the information collected about the issues in the face of problems that can produce fast and accurate solution also another aim at training qualified personnel.
Goals and Objectives:
The purpose of this program is to train programmers so that they can specialize in creating basic software algorithms by using current software languages and software development technologies and also to train technicians who will be able to work as technical support staff in the installation and maintenance of computer team business
Admission & Registration Requirements:
In the framework of the regulations set by the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YOK), student admission for this programme has to be made through a nationwide-held university entrance examination organized by the Students Selection and Placement Centre (OSYM). Following the submission of students’ academic programme preferences, the Student Selection and Placement Centre (OSYM) places the students to the relevant programme according to the score they get from the university entrance examination. Graduation Requirements:
In order to graduate from this programme, the students are required to: • Complete all the courses with at least a letter grade of C in the programme • Have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 60 out 100 (2.50 out of 4.00) • Obtain a total of 120 ECTS Credits.
