Mission: To train professionals who can examine all archaeological and ethnographic "Portable Cultural Assets" with scientific methods, identify the problem by identifying the causes of deterioration, take precautions against deterioration, and apply all stages of protection and repair.
 
 
Vision: Our program aims to train professionals who can work interdisciplinary in the field of conservation and repair, are open to national and international cooperation, aim to create new ideas and application areas, conduct research on the application of new technologies in conservation studies, and are committed to conservation and repair ethics.
 
Degree Earned:
 
When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are provided, an Associate Degree in the field of Artifact Conservation is obtained.

Program Profile:
 
It trains conscious technical staff who know the raw materials that make up cultural assets, have knowledge about construction techniques, recognize deterioration, take precautions against deterioration, know and apply all stages of protection and repair, are open to innovations and can always renew themselves.
 
 
Admission and Registration Requirements:
 
It is determined by ÖSYM in line with the relevant legislation of YÖK.
 
 
Recognition of Prior Learning:
 
Students studying in the Artifact Protection program may be exempt from some courses within the framework of certain regulations. If the content and credit of the course taken in another institution is appropriate to the content of the course given in this program and approved by the school directorate, the student may be exempted from this course.
 
 
Graduation Requirements:
 
In order to graduate from this associate degree program, students must be successful in all courses in the program curriculum, successfully complete the internship of 30 working days and collect at least 120 ECTS credits.
 
Employment Opportunities:
 
Graduates of the program can work in museums and restoration laboratories under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums, related units under the General Directorate of Foundations, private museums, archaeological excavations and special restoration projects.
 
 
Transfer to Higher Degree Programs:
 
Students can continue their undergraduate education (according to the appropriate quota, score and preferences) related to the four-year field by taking the Vertical Transfer Exam conducted by ÖSYM. Tile Design and Repair, Handicrafts, Traditional Turkish Arts, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Conservation and Repair of Cultural Heritage, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Illumination Art programs can be transferred.
